We are delighted to introduce Tyno Koelewijn as our new Director of Interim Solutions. With a wealth of experience in sales, marketing, and account management, Tyno is skilled at finding suitable interim solutions for companies in need of temporary staffing and has a proven track record in strengthening relationships between businesses and interim professionals. His approach, combined with his experience and vision for the future of the interim sector, aligns perfectly with Newpeople’s vision to continue innovating in everything we do.
In addition to his professional activities, Tyno is also an avid cyclist. He plans to participate in the Alpe d’HuZes this year, a testament to his dedication and perseverance, both personally and professionally.

First impressions of the organization.
Given your brief time at the agency (2 weeks), what are your initial impressions of the company culture at Newpeople?
Newpeople has been a renowned agency for, among other things, Interim Solutions, a company that has built a large community of interim professionals, specialists, and managers within the digital domain over the past years. The company has a clear vision of innovation, and I find it rewarding to be a part of it and contribute to this vision. It’s a pleasant organization to work for; the staff can quickly adapt, and there’s an open and informal ‘no-nonsense’ culture in the office with a strong focus on relationships. Additionally, there’s a mentality of ‘just do it!’ prevalent throughout.

A New Chapter.
How do you plan to translate your past experiences into the strategy for leading the Interim Solutions department?
In my previous roles, the focus was more on finding solutions and delivering products/concepts within the B2B domain. At Newpeople, the focus is more people-oriented, centered around individuals and the process of finding/placing the right people in the right roles. It’s something I’ve been increasingly focusing on in recent years and have become more comfortable with. My passion lies in connecting people, and I will continue to build on this in a directing role at Newpeople.
Of course, we’ll continue organizing events for our interim branch, and I don’t rule out the possibility of new initiatives in the future. However, for now, in this role, I will concentrate on the existing and ongoing business processes, ensuring a solid foundation for the future, maintaining a clear overview of the organization, and focusing on building connections and establishing relationships with various stakeholders of Newpeople.

Vision for Newpeople.
How do you see the role of the Interim Solutions department within the broader objectives of Newpeople?
In my opinion, the Interim Solutions department plays a key role in strengthening our position in the field of digital leadership. Over the years, Newpeople has built an extensive network of interim managers, allowing us to effectively meet the growing demand from companies for quality leadership.
As part of an agile team, it is our collective responsibility to position Newpeople as a prominent player in the world of Interim Solutions. We aim to expand the network of ambassadors for our company.
For the future, I expect the demand for skilled interim professionals to continue, given the ongoing aging population and persistent labor market shortages. Finding suitable candidates for permanent positions remains a challenge, where interim solutions can provide a good outcome. However, we must also not forget that artificial intelligence (AI) is playing an increasingly significant role in our sector. Nevertheless, I am not fearful for the future. Many interim professionals are already fully engaged with this technology and can thus play a crucial role for companies looking to achieve their (digital) objectives.
I look forward to the coming years, where we connect people and position Newpeople as a strong brand. And I certainly look forward to enjoying the summer sunshine here on the REM island. That will be a pleasure for sure.
