Today, BusinessBase consists of a team of Business Consultants, Technical Architects, Developers and Agile Project Managers. BusinessBase harbors an ambitious vision for the future. Their intent is to grow in a balanced manner. With that goal in mind, they went looking for a leader that knows how to nurture a team. For BusinessBase to evolve in the desired way, the focus of the new CEO was to professionalize the team to keep up with the targeted growth. Newpeople went to work to find the right person for the job.
BusinessBase found their ideal match in Oedse De Boer. Oedse started in May as the new CEO. His goal, described by former CEO of BusinessBase Emo Prins, was as follows: “[…] the company had to adopt a more professional attitude during the growth of the organization, in order to survive the growth well. The company is entering quite a different phase and that requires different management.”
To do so, the governance was expanded with an Advisory Board, that will assess the progress of each proposal in a sparring manner. Since Oedse came on as CEO, there have been more consultations between CEO and DGA. This enhances the follow of information, resulting in fruitful propositions. Emo states: “The new CEO is getting to know the organization better each day. He knows how to shape the plans with the team with his management style.
Emo predicts that the role of CEO of BusinessBase will evolve alongside the growth of the organization itself. He states: “The basis for that growth is a good match between CEO and DGA. Difficulties and challenges will always arise. That is why it is important that the team clicks. What matters is that you know how to connect with each other to deal with it in the best way possible.”
